Since 2006 Camden Catholic has provided Virtual Learning opportunities to students. In 2019 CCHS partnered with the Arrupe Jesuit Virtual Learning Institute. Through this online curriculum, students are able to:
- Better prepare for college curriculum, which often includes online courses
- Develop a skill set that includes a higher level of self-motivation
- Learn how to navigate virtual communication with teachers and co learners
- Develop academic maturity
- Expand their worldview in a pedagogically-sound academic setting

The newly renovated and expanded Ethel Mae Hocker Information Commons is home to the Sr. Winifred Library, Msgr. McDermott Collaborative Learning Lab, Dr. John Tedeschi Study Space, Dave MacDonald Television Studio and Brown Archives. It is here where CCHS students learn, collaborate, research, meet, discuss, debate, present and study. The Information Commons is open both before and after school for student use.
The Information Commons was reopened in 2017 after a $1.2 million renovation thanks to the efforts of donors to The Campaign for the Future. In addition to expanding the space, designers created areas for both collaborative learning and quiet study in a clean and contemporary space, as well as outfitting the space with enhanced audio visual capabilities for meetings and presentations.
The Information Commons is home to 64 computers, a Chromebook cart for classroom reservations, “The Cube” classroom/meeting space outfitted with WePresent software and modular seating, and an additional large meeting space with overhead projectors and screens.

The Writing Center is open twice per week after school and is staffed by the English department faculty and peer tutors. Students are welcome to drop in to have their writing reviewed. They can visit the Writing Center for feedback on an essay topic, assistance with last-minute editing or more thorough guidance if struggling with a paper. The Writing Center is a place which supports CCHS’s strong commitment to preparing our students to excel at the next level.

CCHS values the role that technology and virtual connectivity play in 21st century learning. Our students have access to more than 250 computers and can also take advantage of the Bring Your Own Device program.
Bring Your Own Device
Students participate in a “Bring Your Own Device Program” with wireless connectivity for laptops and tablets.
There are three computer labs at CCHS which classes reserve when teaching a web-based course or session. Labs have both Mac computers and Microsoft laptops and desktops.
Freshmen are required to take Computer Information and Applied Modern Technology in order to learn the basics of computer science as well as create a foundation for web design and coding. CCHS faculty employs Google Apps for Education to share documents and for assignments.
